Complex, harmonious, supple.
Only 20 kilometers west of Florence, in Tuscany, Carmignano is a commune in the province of Prato. Capezzana is located here, owned by the Contini Bonacossi family since 1920, it has however been a wine producing estate for centuries.
This blend of Sangiovese with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Canaiolo was aged in French tonneaux barrels for 18 months followed by another two years in bottle.
Baking spices and sweet cherries, and strawberry jam, licorice and rose petals dominate the nose. It's smooth o the attack has a woven palate and supple weight; It is also fresh, complex, harmonious and persistent.
