Grip, fragrant, rustic
The Osoyoos-based estate winery Moon Curser makes a wide range of wines, many from varieties rare to Canada. This new red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. Moon Curser recommends pairing it with wild mushroom and lentil stew, charred eggplant, or a Bolognese and Parmesan lasagna. Age through 2031- 2033.
Expect cherry cola and pipe tobacco aromas woven with purple fruits, chocolate and violets. It has a fresh grape-y character with good grip, some texture from tannins and a long spiced finish. Somewhat rustic, in a good way.
