WineDiva's Review

Smooth, savoury, expressive.
Primitivo is a relative of California's famous Zinfandel and is commonly found in the southern region of Puglia in Italy.
Expect attractive aromas of blueberry, baking spices, star anise, tealeaf and leather with a core of molasses and soy sauce, lending it an umami character. The palate shows expressive purple fruit, cola and licorice flavours. Smooth and fresh with fine tannins.
Pair: Barbecued ribs or spicy sausage, hearty pasta dishes or dishes you'd normally pair with Zinfandel.
