Punchy, bright, delicate
The 2023 vintage of Sandhill's rose is a little different (usually has Gamay) as it's Pinot Noir, Merlot and Petit Verdot. It has a delicate pink shade and notes of crab apples and summer berries, peach, honey and wildflowers. It is crisp and zesty in the mouth with red berry and stone fruit flavours to echo the nose. The palate has a bright punchy character and it trails flavours of red grapefruit, cedar and tobacco.
Pair: Pizza, calamari, brushcetta, antipasto, caprese salads and white meats.
